Your previous engine was D15 or D16? How is your ZC engine performance now? It's already installed right? I just wondered, because you said "dropped the engine and waiting for a ZC" does it mean that the engine swap is still in progress now?mitsubishiv5 wrote: dropped the engine and waiting for a ZC

ya my engine is dropped. i had a usdm d15b2 engine with dpfi setup, i just converted the car to a mpfi with a zc throttle body and intake manifold.
My friends car was crashed so he is giving me his 1.6ZC with zc transmission with lsd. Its in progress right now, awaiting for his engine to be removed, so right now my car is not running.
thanks alot for the warm welcome, ill stay awake tonight

How bad is your friend's car crashed? It's pretty bad I think..
Your friends is so generous.. eventhough his car is wrecked now, he still give you his engine..
What is your friend's car anyway? 4th gen Civic too?

ya its really bad, he had a 1989 honda civic SI hatchback canadian model and they crashed it into the side of the freeway into the emergency lane. He had a complete SIR front end conversion, rear conversion, and they totalled the front of the carariphrp wrote:

we managed to salvage this sir rear bumper and lip, but his taillight were cracked, and broke a few tabs on his sir wing.

hufff.. tragic.. I got the picture of how powerful your friends car engine before the accident...
better use this very engine in your car more careful..
We have an idiom here "the right foot should go to school" it means we have to manage our right foot to be more wise more "educated".. so, it doesn't really matter whether the engine is standard or powerful, drive safely is the first choice.. right?
